Fellow Fashion Enthusiast
I set this website up because I love designing and making my own clothes, particularly beautiful dresses. Anyone who loves fashion should be able to have the clothes they desire without spending a fortune. That’s why I want to share my dress making knowledge with as many people as possible.
Since you’ve found this website I’m assuming you love making your own clothes as much as I do. The truth is, I’m always on the internet looking for dress making patterns and sewing tips. While doing some research, I stumbled upon a fantastic manuscript by Max Padell.
Mr Padell is one of the most well-known and respected dress makers in recent history. I noticed that most of his work was available and accounted for with the exception of one of his most important pieces of work, ‘Key To Dress Design’. Even though it was first published some years ago this book has the best design information I have ever seen.
Here’s just a snippet of what is covered in the 9 chapters:

I have contacted the original copyright owners and gained permission to republish Max Padell’s complete work on this website. Although I had to pay to have the manuscript reformatted and published online, dress making is my passion. Therefore, I want to share this book with as many people as possible for free.
The information is second to none and you’ll soon be making your very own, one off designer clothes.
