I recently went with both of my shih tzus for their distemper/parvo shot. Both George and Eve are similar in weight there is only a difference of 3 pounds, George weighs 14 pounds and Eve 17 lbs. The two of them are most happy when they are visiting their friendly veterinary doctor down the road, I think it is an attention thing. Chloe went in first.

Eve ran back out when the veteran had finished testing her At present, Eve began to vomit until all ingredients were out of her stomach. Our shih tzu began to lie down and directly refused to move at all. We hung around in the hope that her condition would get better rather rapidly. Eve was in a horrible state and didnt know what to do, it was like looking at an elephant being shot and losing control of its legs slowly but surely.

The vet quickly replied with a steroid shot for our shitzu. We held back with baited breath over the course of the next 10 minutes to notice what outcome this steroid would have on her. Her breathing became very labored, and she seemed even less reactive. John then recommented us that we get her to the specialist dog hospital in our area so they could provide her 24/7 aid. At this phase we could only pray that everything would work out.

The hospital put her on a drip that night. Nobody believed our shih tzu dog would be with us much longer. Tender loving care with the hospital drugs were her contant diet for four days whilst there.This reply to the injection caused her to go into shock, along with puffiness and hemorrhage in her stomach and intestines.But, my little girl came through this, incredibly. She is recuperating at home.

She drinks her water and likes to sleep more than before but I can only imagine this is because the whole incident was so harrowing for her. Her road to recover has been a tough one but she will be in normal state within a couple of weeks, of that I am 100 per cent sure. I have come to find out a lot about these injections over this last week.

Certain kinds of drugs make this shih tsu breed more likely to react and thats what happened with Eve.For the last few weeks I have been campaigning to obtain full "full disclosure".This was a nightmare and very pricey.I really think strongly though that people should never have to observe what happenned to us.
