When my niece said that she wanted a Britney Spears shirt, I thought that the singer had come out with a collection of clothing. Why wouldn’t I? It seems as if that is the common road that many artists take these days. They begin as singers, actresses and models and move on to becoming fashion moguls. I had no idea that she really meant a Britney Spears shirt.

You can buy actual shirts worn by the pop icon. While you are not actually purchasing the Britney Spears shirt that she actually wore, you can buy replicas of shirts that have adorned the star. This is great especially since most of the shirts are relatively inexpensive tees.

Of course, the Britney Spears shirt seemed like the perfect gift for my niece who adores the star but I had to figure out which one to choose. There are plenty of different designs and some might not be quite so popular with my conservative sister-in-law who rules with a heavy fist. My choice would have to be the perfect balance between all that is Britney and all that is my sister-in-law.

This balance was not quite so easy to obtain. Instead of choosing a Britney Spears shirt that she actually wore I opted to look for designs that paid direct homage to the pop icon. This yielded great results but not so great if you have a conservative mom. There had to be a perfect item that they would both like.

After awhile I started to give up on finding the right product. My search for the Britney Spears shirt came to a screeching halt. That was, until I opened the Sunday paper this week. In the store advertisements was a great combination that I couldn’t resist buying for my niece.

Since the singer has come out with a line of fragrances, my teenage niece has been throwing the occasional hint that she would like a bottle. However, these hints were overshadowed by her interest in the Britney Spears shirt. I found both for one reasonable price.

One of the stores advertised a free Britney Spears shirt with the purchase of any of her fragrances. The shirt is adorable; black with rhinestone lettering that is attractive but very Britney. I found the perfect presents all wrapped up in one neat package. Not only did my niece get her Britney Spear shirt, she got a fragrance and a nod of approval from her mom.
