There is nothing that says more about who you are than your clothes do. Some foolish people will say what is most important is to express yourself, but what is there that expresses you even one half as much as your clothes? Nothing, that's what. And if you love your country, than you should be extra careful to express that part of you with a nice American patriotic t shirt. Although wearing patriotic clothes has always been a good way to tell all the people around you how much it is that you love your country, since the September 11th terrorist attacks, an American t shirt has become a more important thing than ever. Trust me, especially if you are a person who lives in a small town where people get to know each other and still believe in good old fashioned values, an American t shirt will get you friends even quicker than watching the football game will.

Of course, not every American t shirt is the same, and some of them should be avoided by some people. My friend Eddy loves to wear his American flag t shirt, but he wears it, if anything, too much. A lot of people think that he is just being pro American, and they are right, but still, it seems like a bad thing for him to do with the flag. That American t shirt looks rattier and more stained than almost any rag that I have ever seen, and that is no joke. Wearing an American t shirt with a flag on it until it looks all awful and stained does not seem to be all that good a way to honor the flag or the country if you are to ask me. It seems to be a big disgrace, and does not look good on him.

Of course, if you get a more understated American apparel t shirt, you might have a better look than Eddy does. An American t shirt should have some image that is recognizably American, but it does not need to be completely covered with a US flag. It can really be a lot more subtle and still be a good American t shirt that shows how much you love your country. I have seen American t shirts with, for example, a picture of the statue of liberty on the front. That way, if it gets Ketchup on it, it is not a disgrace.
